Toemush da Tank was born in Verdantweald, where size is not unusual among firbolgs but kindness can still be mistaken for softness by people who have never seen what the forest asks of its guardians. He grew into both early: enormous, bright purple, and almost impossible to hurry into anger. In the deep roads and rain-heavy edges of the weald he learned that the strongest person in a bad moment is not always the one who strikes first. Sometimes it is the one who stays put, lifts the fallen beam, or makes sure everyone else gets to step back first.
When he left for High Alden to study at The Collegium Arcanum, people expected one of two disappointments: either a woods-bred giant who would not survive the city's stone manners, or a wizard too gentle to be useful when things turned ugly. Big Toe proved both readings wrong. He took naturally to the kind of magic that buys people time - wards, barriers, controlled force, the spellwork that steadies a room instead of showing off in it. He is still unmistakably a large purple firbolg in every doorway, but the students who laughed first learned quickly that it is hard to intimidate someone who already knows exactly how much space he takes up.
Big Toe does not carry himself like a duelist or a grand academic. He carries himself like a man who expects trouble to happen near smaller people and has made peace with standing between them and it. He is friendly, patient, and harder to move than he looks. When panic breaks a plan apart, Big Toe is usually the one still thinking clearly enough to hold the line.
