Forged and modified by Professor Sylic in the Underhall Archives using a narrow steel dagger, specimen-work fittings, and a sliver of fitted Heat Stone.

with Professor Sylic
Sylic did not begin by trying to invent a better knife. He began by asking whether the same heat-stone principles that slow The Frost Corruption in walls, lamps, and carried wards could be focused along an edge. The answer, after several failed housings and one ruined workbench, was yes.
The resulting dagger is plain in shape and almost surgical in finish. A thin fragment of Heat Stone sits in the guard, with fine copper channels worked into the hilt and tang to carry that held warmth through the blade. It never grows hot enough to glow, but it remains steadily warm to the touch and becomes noticeably hotter in the presence of corrupted flesh.
Sylic uses it as both field tool and weapon: for cutting tainted tissue free of a specimen, opening sealed infected matter without freezing his hands, or striking quickly when something corrupted gets too close to a worktable.
